    LEAD TEACHER- Ms. Kristine

    pelprainbowroom@gmail.com

I received my diploma in Early Learning and Childcare from Grant MacEwan University in 2010 and have been working in the field since.

Over the years I have worked in various childcare settings in Edmonton and surrounding areas with focus predominantly in infant, toddler and preschool programs. I ran a Dayhome here in Spruce Grove for five years before joining SGPS in 2021.

I am dedicated to fostering young children's growing sense of identity and well being through play based learning. Our experiences will be focused on emergent curriculum, social-emotional development and positive interactions.

I can't wait to grow and learn with you all!

    ASSISTANT TEACHER - Ms. Ashley

After getting my Mental Health Worker diploma in 2015, I worked with children with developmental disabilities and behavioural challenges in preschool settings. I developed an excitement for working with kids and having my own children only furthered this passion. After moving to the Parkland area in 2020, I spent much time volunteering over the 3 years I was with the playschool as a parent. I fell in love with the philosophy, so much so that I gained my level 1 ECE so I could assist in teaching and aim to gain another ECE level.

I am a passionate advocate for early learning, nurturing young minds and fostering a love of learning. With a natural flair for creativity, I delight in leading the kids on messy adventures that spark their imaginations.

I am a 2011 graduate of Grant MacEwan’s Early Learning and Childcare Program. Since graduating I have run a bustling and exciting Dayhome in Spruce Grove.

I am excited to engage with a new group of learners to foster creativity, social emotional skills, and my favourite MESSY PLAY! Our classroom experience will have predictable routines, child led emergent curriculum, positive interactions and lots of play based learning fun. I am committed to a safe learning environment that fosters children’s individual sense of self and broader sense of community.

    ASSISTANT TEACHER - Ms. Ricki

I have worked as an Educational Assistant in the preschool setting since 2014. I have a Bachelors Degree in Community Rehabilitation from the University of Calgary. During university I focused on courses that pertained to children such as child development and school psychology.

I truly enjoy working with children in the education setting. It is rewarding to help foster children’s social, intellectual and emotional development through a play based model.
